Free beta terms · Version 6 September 2026
1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern access to and use of The Biologist’s Sphere. Creating an account or continuing to use the platform means that you accept them. The current service is a free pre-launch beta intended to test a specialised life-science recruitment platform.
2. Accounts
- Users must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, current information.
- Each person must use their own account and keep access credentials confidential.
- Several authorised employer accounts may be linked to the same organisation. Each user remains responsible for actions performed through their account.
- Spam, impersonation, automated account creation and attempts to bypass access controls are prohibited.
3. Talent accounts
Talents are responsible for the accuracy of their profile, CV and applications. Talent Pool visibility is optional, requires an explicit choice and can be withdrawn at any time. A connection accepted by the talent can also be revoked. Applying through TBS shares a dated copy of the application information with the organisation concerned. The talent may withdraw an internal application from the dashboard. TBS does not promise an interview, a response or employment.
4. Employer accounts and organisations
- Employer users must act for an organisation they are authorised to represent. TBS may verify the professional email domain and request additional evidence.
- An organisation must be verified before it can publish a job. Jobs published by a verified organisation are treated as organisation-approved, but TBS may still moderate or remove them.
- Employers must publish genuine, current, lawful and non-discriminatory opportunities and must not request information unrelated to recruitment.
- The employer remains solely responsible for the job, recruitment process, candidate communications and hiring decision.
5. Talent Pool
Talent Pool access is granted by the TBS administrator to verified organisations for a defined period. Searching is permitted only for genuine recruitment. Scraping, bulk export, resale, enrichment of external databases, unsolicited mass contact and discriminatory use are prohibited. Identity and contact information may be used only for the opportunity accepted by the talent. Employers must stop using these details when access is revoked and must delete any local copy that is no longer needed.
6. Jobs and applications
A job may use an internal TBS application or redirect to an employer website. For an external application, TBS can count the click but cannot confirm that the external application was completed. External websites apply their own terms and privacy policies. For an internal application, employers may use the profile, message and CV only to assess that opportunity, must restrict access to the recruitment team and must not build an unrelated database. Published jobs can remain active for no more than 30 days and may then be archived or removed according to the platform’s retention rules.
7. Moderation and account removal
TBS may correct, hide, archive or remove content and may suspend or delete an account when necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, respond to spam or fraud, or comply with the law. When circumstances permit, the user will be informed and may contact the team to explain the situation.
8. Availability of the beta
The beta may change, experience interruptions or contain errors. TBS works to keep the platform useful and secure but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage of content or compatibility with every device. Users should retain their own copy of important documents such as CVs and job descriptions.
9. Commercial services
No payment is currently collected through the platform. Future paid job credits, sponsorships, Talent Pool access, employer-brand content or recruitment services will be governed by a clear offer, price and separate commercial terms before purchase.
10. Intellectual property
Users retain rights to the content they provide and grant TBS the limited permission needed to host, display and process it for the platform service. They must hold the rights and permissions necessary to publish that content. TBS brand elements and original platform content may not be reused without permission.
11. Liability
TBS acts as an intermediary and does not become a party to the employment relationship. Within the limits allowed by law, TBS is not responsible for employer decisions, candidate statements, external websites or indirect losses arising from use of the beta. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the beta evolves. Material changes will be displayed on this page and, when necessary, communicated to users. French law applies, subject to any mandatory rules protecting users in their country of residence. Questions can be sent to contact@thebiologistsphere.com.
